9th mo, 10th 1857

Otis & Huldah went to Detroit and brought out Anna Comstock & Caroline her daughter. They staid 2 days left in the P.M. of the 12th and went to Northville with Wm. Power to visit the Laphams & started for home on the 14th inst.

29th of 9th mo. 57. Cynthial C. Aldrich, Richard S. Road, Wm. Lamb & Elisabeth his wife arrived here in the evening. Staid 2 days. The 2nd day Richard, Wm. & wife with Henriette went to the State Fair & the next day 2nd of 10th mo. started home.

11th mo. 21st, 1858. John T. Comstock & his new Wife Elisabeth L. Wright & her little daughter paid us a visit on their way home from Canada. They staid 2 mights & 2nd day the 22nd of 11th month started back to Detroit on the morning of the 23rd.

4th mo., 15th. 1859.

Otis started with Thomas Power to find work on the Rail Road.

11th mo. 25th 1859.

Francis went to Detroit with Ira who took his Law library & on the morning of the 26th Francis took a boat for Port Huron where he intends to settle in business of his Profession. He staid two years & back home to enlist for the war ... still didn't go.

10th mo., 1857. Stephen Lapham & Abram Moore & Nathan Power raised our shed to the meeting house. Covered the west one third & enclosed it. Then in the fall of 1859 finished the roof, and on the 12th of 5th mo. made a fence to the door yard & on the 13th was the first meeting with the house fensed in it being 1st day of the week.

5th mo., 10th, 1860. We put the first cheese into the press on our new home in the Abram Lapham house. Had the milk of 10 cows. Shall milk 11 this season.
