4th mo., 19th. 1869. Second day of the week makes 68th complete years of my lengthened life. My health is unusually good for which I feel very thankful. I went to Francis Courters and bought 1500 lbs. of hay at $12 per ton. George Allen, John Nelson and myself brought in my sap tools and put them in the sap house. We had a good season for sugaring. It was cold up to the 15th of April. George and John planted multiplying onions towards night and I did the chores.
