Closes my 62nd year. This is first day of the week. Patience & I set alone in a meeting capacity. Alone it really was. We are now stripped of nearly all our members of Meeting the passed year in which Stephen Lapham 16th of 7 mo., 62 he was married to Camilla Lapham in the 2nd mo this year and lived but 5 months after. I moved into Meeting on the last day of the year, 62. Abram Moore still fails to come to our Meeting. Savile Aldrich is about all that we have in attendance and he is in some what a deranged. My prayers are that my life may be more devoted and truly Christian As life wanes away.

4th mo., 19th 1864

Brings me to my 64th year. 63 years are gone into the past. The past year is the one that I built on the addition to my house. On the 10th I built a rail calf pen & made the fense east of the woods gate & set in

a pair of calves. The fense was about 20 rods long. On the 18th I made the long line between Deacon Vaughn's & myself running due North & a few days before made the New fense up the swale running East between Vaughn's & self. It was in 3rd mo. that Otis sold 20 acres to Vaughn for $1600. It was on the 19th that Philip moved his goods from Nankin & himself & Huldah continued to live with us. Seth Johnson was helping me at this time. I continue to feel the need & I trust a right desire to improve in the future for the years seem short & life is fast waning away. Old neighbors are dropping off. George W. Collins, Mary Cooly, Abijah Rogers, Lydia Sprague & Horace Swan dropped off this year.

4th mo, 2nd 1864

I raised my corn crib 14 by 22. Wm. Cummins did the framing.
